Xu-Ran earned his B.S. in chemistry from Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) in 2019. As an undergraduate in SUSTech, he devoted himself to organic chemistry research, from total synthesis(intern) to organometallics (thesis project). He was also one of key members of SUSTech iGEM-2017 team which performed the “Light Induced Learning System in C. elegans” project.
In 2020, he joined He lab. He now mainly focuses on the underlying mechanism of the early-stage Parkinson’s Disease.
Outside lab, he likes playing basketball and photography.
